Since the early 1960’s Sinclair Oil Corporation stations across the country have been known for a popular roadside attraction and photo op. A fiberglass DINO (pronounced DYE-NO) now resides at Raider Express in Frontenac, Kansas. Located just off US-69 at 325 East McKay, the DINO was installed June 10, 2020.
How many of you have seen a dressed up DINO? Here at Sinclair Oil, we encourage stations to have fun with him each holiday by putting a costume on him. South Jordan, Utah resident Sarah Hepworth, has taken this matter into her own hands and has become the SoJo DINO dresser. This all sparked her interest back in September 2017 when DINO had a cone on his head. Since then she has taken over and dressed DINO up as many things. "I have every color of duct tape you can imagine. Plastic bags. Plastic drop cloths. Wire hangers.

CHARLOTTE, N.C. — There was an overwhelming sense of relief in Michael Self’s voice after last week’s announcement that he will drive for MDM Motorsports in the 54th annual Lucas Oil Complete Engine Treatment 200 at Daytona Int’l Speedway on Feb. 18.
The marquee event and season opener for the ARCA Racing Series presented by Menards will be Self’s debut on the Florida high banks, as well as the Utah native’s second race partnered with MDM and Sinclair Oil Corporation, his most recent primary sponsor.
How excited are you for Sinclair’s return to ARCA Racing? As we prepare to hit the track at Daytona International Speedway on February 18th, we want to introduce you to the Salt Lake City native who will pilot the No. 28 Sinclair Oil Toyota Camry around the superspeedway. At 26, Michael Self is a former NASCAR K&N Pro Series regular, a full-time business student in Charlotte, North Carolina and our guide into the storied world of racing. Michael took some time to answer a few questions so our fans could get to know him, and ARCA racing a little better.
Sinclair is celebrating the gift of giving this Holiday by supporting those in need at The Road Home. Homelessness touches all ages and can be the hardest on the children, especially during the Christmas season. Employees visited the Sub for Santa tree in the building lobby where they were able to choose an ornament with items in need on them.
A development that had been at a standstill for years is moving forward — and quickly.
