Sinclair Oil Charts Expansion Plan Fueled by Dino

Sinclair Oil — known to many Americans for the Apatosaurus logo that graces its service stations in 24 states — is charting an expansion strategy some four decades after it was temporarily broken up and a century after it was formed.
The Salt Lake City-based company, founded by Harry Sinclair in 1916 as the combination of 11 small petroleum ventures, plans to double or triple the number of service stations using its brand name — up from about 1,300 currently concentrated in the central plains and Rocky Mountain regions.
