| Instrument and Electrical Technician | Full-Time | Open at Casper Refinery. This hourly position will be responsible for providing support to the Maintenance department with emphasis on improving process reliability: These activities include but are not limited to the following: troubleshoot, repair, calibrate process flow, pressure, and level transmitters of electronic as well as pneumatic type in a safe manner; ability to troubleshoot and repair process control valves; willing to respond to work callout requests and overtime requests as needed; able to effectively communicate with operators to troubleshoot issues and effect repairs in a timely manner; proficiency in computer applications, including Word, Excel and data base program data entry; ability to read and understand manufacturers instruction manuals or use direct contact with a manufacturer to troubleshoot. Preferred skills and knowledge: 3-5 years of experience in the Instrumentation field, refinery experience is a plus; ability to install new process control loops; experience with Siemens DCS (APACS, PCS7) or Foxboro systems preferred. | | Lab Technician | Full-Time | Open at Sinclair Refinery. Conduct both physical and chemical testing on fuels, asphalts, associated blend products and process samples. Minimum of a Bachelor of Science degree in physical sciences (chemistry preferred). While experience is preferred, it is not necessary. Possessing good mechanical aptitude is highly desirable. Shift work is required. | | Maintenance Planner | Full-Time | Open at Casper Refinery. This position will be responsible for providing support to the Maintenance department with emphasis on improving turnaround and daily maintenance activity efficiency. This position will develop and manage detailed job plan packages, turnaround schedules, schedule maintenance and management. Job duties will include: developing plan packages; conducting field verifications; identifying materials/equipment and regulatory requirements; coordinating with internal departments and external contractors as necessary; inputting plans into scheduling software; producing logic diagrams, bar charts and resource histograms; producing daily schedules/reports and optimizing schedule through the plan process. The ideal candidate will have experience with Maximo CMMS (specifically planning and work order functions), Primavera 7 project scheduling, and Akwire visual scheduler. Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications preferred. | | Piping Designer | Full-Time | Open at Sinclair Refinery. Position requires a 2-year degree in drafting or engineering technology and a minimum of 5-10 years drafting/design experience in oil & gas production, refineries, petrochemicals or related industry. The designer performs routine to moderately difficult design assignments which require the application of fundamental design techniques in accordance with company and industry standards and codes. Experience should include: excellent AutoCAD skills, PC proficiency in Windows, MS Word, and MS Excel, good manual drafting skills. Experience with Leica Geosystems HDS Cyclone, Leica CloudWorx for AutoCAD and CODE CADWorx Plant Professional (3D Piping Design) software is required. In-depth working knowledge of discipline specific skills, codes and standard practices, strong written and verbal communication, leadership and interpersonal skills are also required. | | Process Engineer | Full-Time | Open at Sinclair Refinery. Job duties include the following: independently evaluate the performance of refinery units and recommend profitability improvements via changes in operating conditions or via addition of upgraded equipment that they have designed, specified and ordered; independently select, coordinate with, and supply field support to contractors involved with construction of new process equipment or with catalyst change outs; provide 24 hour rotating shift coverage as needed during unit turnarounds, catalyst regenerations or unit emergencies; support the development of refinery computer control system and be available when needed for troubleshooting on a 24 hour call out basis; develop computer simulations to understand the performance of refinery process units in order to optimize profitability or to define the heat and material balances and process specifications needed during detailed design of unit expansions; perform field work inside of the refinery involving operator training, MOC development, HAZOP reviews & follow-up, P&ID development / confirmation, temperature and pressure surveys, vessel entry for internal inspections, climbing to elevated decks on vessels or in pipe racks wearing fall protection. Candidate must have BSChE degree. Salary will be commensurate with experience. Preferred experience includes: minimum 5 years refinery technical service experience on key units: crude units, FCC, hydrotreating, reformer, alkylation, catalytic polymerization, amine treatment, sour water stripping, sulfur plant; computer and process simulation experience; project management experience; process safety management exposure / experience. | | PSM Staff Inspector | Full-Time | 5 Positions open at Sinclair Refinery. Positions range from Entry Level to Senior Level based on experience and credentials. Coordinates the refinery’s inspection program for areas of the plant for on-stream data collection/analysis and turnaround planning and execution. Maintains a liaison with operations, maintenance, and engineering with respect to mechanical integrity for fixed equipment. Candidate must possess strong communication, written and verbal, skills, and be able to cooperatively work with other groups to plan, execute, and report on work activities. Knowledge of computer based applications is essential. These positions report directly to the Inspection Supervisor/Manager. | | PSM Technician | Full-Time | 3 Positions open at Sinclair Refinery. Positions support the PSM group with the implementation of the MOC/PSSR process. Participate in unit PHA’s, Incident Investigations, assist with development of Operations and Maintenance procedures/manuals, coordinate audits of PSM related programs and procedures to ensure compliance with OSHA 1910.119. Work closely with Operations, Maintenance, Engineering, and Inspections to track and complete action items from PHA’s and compliance audits. Candidates shall possess strong verbal and written communication skills, abilities to interpret and apply regulations, analytical thinking skills, and a positive attitude. These positions report to the PSM Manager. | | Reliability Engineer | Full-Time | Open at Sinclair Refinery. A technical resource to other departments with regard to rotating equipment and will develop and monitor real-time data programs that prioritize and optimize maintenance resources and bring the refinery closer to a condition based maintenance (CBM) program. ME with 3-5 years experience required. | | Welder | Full-Time | Open at Casper Refinery. Responsibilities include: fabricate, install & repair piping, pressure vessels and storage tanks. Requirements include: familiarity with all aspects of pipe & plate fabrication and installation. Basic knowledge of rigging & industrial pipefitting, and various tools such as grinders, impacts, tube rolls, forklifts. Must be able to pass 6G carbon steel pipe test. Hourly position, experience preferred, but will train the right individual. |
