You will find parking for Sinclair if you enter the driveway east of our building and follow it down behind our office. Our office hours are 7:45 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday.

Senior Economics & Planning Engineer

Sinclair Oil Corporation has need of a full-time Senior Economics and Planning Engineer in our Salt Lake City business office. This individual will be responsible for planning and optimization of feedstocks and product slate for one or more company refineries. Primary tasks will be to evaluate crudes and other feedstocks to maximize profitability, tune linear program to actual operations and communicate plans and operational improvement to refinery staff. A secondary task will be providing fuels regulatory guidance and planning to meet upcoming regulations to the refineries. Required skills include: thorough understanding of refining process operations and operating variables, ability to review process operation data and relate it to economic analysis, ability to communicate effectively with refinery personnel to gather data and implement improvements, and the ability to develop both short-term and long-term solutions to resolve operating problems and improve profitability. Linear program interpretation and modification experience required; experience with Haverly Systems LP is desireable. A BS in Engineering and 6+ years of well-rounded refinery process engineering and planning experience required.

Our Kansas City region has an immediate opening in Omaha, NE for a Wholesale Sales Representative for eastern NE and southern IA territory. This individual would be responsible for sales growth through existing Sinclair distributor network as well as prospecting for new business to expand the Sinclair brand in the region. A degree in business or related field is required along with a minimum of two years sales experience. Sales experience in the petroleum field is preferred.
