| Corporate HAZOP/PHA Facilitator | Full-time | LOCATION: Rawlins or Casper, WY (based on candidate preference) JOB RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE: 1) Provide HAZOP support and guidance to two refineries with over 105,000 bpd of processing capacity. 2) Manage the preparation and facilitate safety workshops, including the following: HAZOP, HAZID, FMEA/ FMECA, ALARP, LOPA, and Safety Integrity Level (SIL) studies. 3) Prepare high-quality reports with clear diagrams and fully explained analysis and calculations. 4) Self-motivating, with the ability to provide technical guidance to refinery field groups, corporate capital project group, and turnaround execution groups when needed. REQUIREMENTS: Possess a Bachelor’s degree in an engineering discipline, such as Chemical, Mechanical, or Safety Risk Engineer. Commensurate work experience may be considered in-lieu of degree. In-depth understanding of the refining industry with 10+ years of experience directly related to refining processes and facilities. Willingness to travel to the two refineries and corporate office (typically 2-4 hours via car) for project requirements.  | | Corporate Turnaround & Construction Site Manager | Full-time | Sinclair Oil Corporation has an opening for a full-time Corporate Turnaround & Construction site Manager that will report to our Corporate Refinery Turnaround group located in Salt Lake City, Utah. Candidates will reside in close proximity to either the Sinclair or Casper, Wyoming refineries. Travel will vary; however, Managers should expect to spend 40 – 50% of their time in the field. This position will be directly involved in planning, scheduling and executing turnaround events for Sinclair’s two Wyoming refineries to insure turnarounds are completed safely, accurately, on schedule and within budget. These individuals will be located at the Sinclair Wyoming Refinery and will report to the Corporate Refinery Turnaround Group located in Salt Lake City, Utah. These positions will be directly involved in planning, scheduling and executing turnaround events for Sinclair’s two Wyoming refineries to insure turnarounds are completed safely, accurately, on schedule and within budget. Construction experience and higher levels of education related to Maintenance/Construction are preferred.  | | Project Construction Supervisor | Full-time | The Construction Supervisor will work for Sinclair’s Salt Lake City Manufacturing Department’s Corporate Project Group; however, the position will be located at Sinclair’s Rawlins, Wyoming refinery. This position will work with the Group’s Project Managers who oversee capital projects for the refinery to insure projects are completed safely, on schedule, within budget and achieve their stated purpose. This individual will work with external engineering firms, construction contractors and personnel at the refinery through the entire scope of multiple projects. The preferred candidate should have a minimum of five (5) years supervisory experience in industrial construction, preferably including some background executing construction or maintenance activities in a petrochemical or related process plant environment. This individual will need to demonstrate knowledge of general industry practice across multiple disciplines as they will be supervising all phases of construction activity including foundation construction, structural steel erection, rotating and fixed equipment placement, piping fabrication, electrical power distribution, and instrumentation. To effectively execute the duties of this role the individual will need to spend the majority of the day operating in the field. The primary functions of the this position include authorizing work activities according to the established permitting procedures, reviewing construction activities for design compliance, and networking with tradecraft, supervision, operations, and engineering staff to coordinate construction work flow and bring resolution to construction issues as they are encountered. Experience with horizontal drilling, tight gas reservoirs, marketing contracts and gas processing is desirable. Good work habits and people skills are necessary. This individual will represent Sinclair Oil and interface with officials in state government and regulatory agencies, state oil and gas safety association, and state refinery safety alliances. Qualified candidates will have a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, 20+ years refinery experience with a proven track record of progressing through positions of increasing management responsibility, including a refinery operations manager role. The ideal candidate will have held previous senior management positions such as refinery manager or VP of an operating business unit. Previous assignments involving EH&S or PSM a plus. | Instrument and Electrical Technician | Full-Time | Open at Casper Refinery. This hourly position will be responsible for providing support to the Maintenance department with emphasis on improving process reliability: These activities include but are not limited to the following: troubleshoot, repair, calibrate process flow, pressure, and level transmitters of electronic as well as pneumatic type in a safe manner; ability to troubleshoot and repair process control valves; willing to respond to work callout requests and overtime requests as needed; able to effectively communicate with operators to troubleshoot issues and effect repairs in a timely manner; proficiency in computer applications, including Word, Excel and data base program data entry; ability to read and understand manufacturers instruction manuals or use direct contact with a manufacturer to troubleshoot. Preferred skills and knowledge: 3-5 years of experience in the Instrumentation field, refinery experience is a plus; ability to install new process control loops; experience with Siemens DCS (APACS, PCS7) or Foxboro systems preferred.  | | Lab Technician | Full-Time | Open at Sinclair Refinery. Conduct both physical and chemical testing on fuels, asphalts, associated blend products and process samples. Minimum of a Bachelor of Science degree in physical sciences (chemistry preferred). While experience is preferred, it is not necessary. Possessing good mechanical aptitude is highly desirable. Shift work is required.  | | Maintenance Planner | Full-Time | Open at Casper Refinery. This position will be responsible for providing support to the Maintenance department with emphasis on improving turnaround and daily maintenance activity efficiency. This position will develop and manage detailed job plan packages, turnaround schedules, schedule maintenance and management. Job duties will include: developing plan packages; conducting field verifications; identifying materials/equipment and regulatory requirements; coordinating with internal departments and external contractors as necessary; inputting plans into scheduling software; producing logic diagrams, bar charts and resource histograms; producing daily schedules/reports and optimizing schedule through the plan process. The ideal candidate will have experience with Maximo CMMS (specifically planning and work order functions), Primavera 7 project scheduling, and Akwire visual scheduler. Experience should include: excellent AutoCAD skills, PC proficiency in Windows, MS Word, and MS Excel, good manual drafting skills. Positions range from Entry Level to Senior Level based on experience and credentials. Coordinates the refinery’s inspection program for areas of the plant for on-stream data collection/analysis and turnaround planning and execution. Maintains a liaison with operations, maintenance, and engineering with respect to mechanical integrity for fixed equipment. Requirements include: familiarity with all aspects of pipe & plate fabrication and installation. Basic knowledge of rigging & industrial pipefitting, and various tools such as grinders, impacts, tube rolls, forklifts. Must be able to pass 6G carbon steel pipe test. Hourly position, experience preferred, but will train the right individual.  |
