Corporate Turnaround Senior Planner & SchedulerFull-timeSinclair Oil Corporation is seeking a full-time Corporate Turnaround Senior Planner/Scheduler that will report to our Corporate Refinery Turnaround group located in Salt Lake City, Utah. This position will be located in Rawlins, Wyoming. This individual will work with corporate turnaround management, construction contractors and refinery personnel through the entire scope of planning, scheduling and executing assigned turnaround events. Job duties will include developing optimal plans consistent with plan objectives; working with general contractors in developing master schedules; assessing turnaround plan costs and conducting field evaluations throughout the turnaround process. The Senior Planner will provide planning support for emergency and smaller components, i.e. boiler, benzene stripper, WWT; that are not typically turnaround responsibilities. The Senior Planner will formulate and execute a process to share knowledge in these areas with company turnaround planners/schedulers and plant project supervisors. Responsible for maintaining the contractor-designed database for planning refinery turnarounds. Must have the ability and capability to relieve Turnaround Managers and/or run a unit turnaround as needed. Travel will vary; up to 30 – 40% of time spent in the field. Environmental Air Quality EngineerFull-timeSinclair Oil Corporation has an opening for an Environmental Air Quality Engineer to support air quality monitoring systems and reporting for the Sinclair Refinery in Rawlins, Wyoming. The position will be located in Rawlins, Wyoming. Inspection EngineerFull-timeSinclair Oil Corporation has an immediate opening for an Inspection Engineer reporting directly to the Sinclair Refinery Inspection Manager located in Sinclair, Wyoming. The position will primarily be responsible for providing technical support to the refinery’s fixed equipment inspection department. Job tasks include, but not limited to, performing Fitness-for-Service evaluations on fixed equipment and piping, performing remaining life determinations, providing engineering evaluations and scopes for inspection-related work, and interpreting and applying applicable codes and standards for the inspection department. Additional duties include leading or participating in incident investigations, conducting site audits, assisting with job safety analyses and carrying out any additional assignments as directed by the Inspection Manager. This position requires the technical background, field experience and working knowledge of appropriate methodologies used to implement and manage effective Fixed Equipment Mechanical Integrity systems and processes to meet the OSHA standards and Recognized and Generally Accepted Good Engineering Practices (RAGAGEP). Candidates must have 10 –15 years of oil industry experience (preferably refining), a degree or equivalent in Civil or Mechanical Engineering or other related field; working knowledge of API 510 and 570, ASME codes and standards, welding procedures, and fitness for service experience. Ideal candidates will have recent work history in the design or inspection of pressure vessels and piping, a Professional Engineer (PE) license or ability to obtain, recent work history of performing level 2 and 3 FFS evaluations, and API 653, and 580/581 certifications. The ideal candidate must have a strong ability to communicate both verbally and in writing and demonstrate knowledge of risk, liability, and process safety management. Strong computer knowledge and skills are a must.

Construction Execution SuperintendentFull-TimeThis position is responsible for providing overall technical expertise of the construction project life cycle. Directs, coordinates, and exercises functional authority for planning, organizing, control, integration and completion of capital projects. Bachelor of Science in Engineering or Construction Management with eight years of industry experience. Electrical and Instrumentation TechnicianFull-TimeInstall, repair and troubleshoot Refinery electrical equipment and instrumentation. Ability to interpret the National Electric Code successfully is preferred. Understand National Fire Protection Association 70E – Electrical Safety in the work place. Experience in Industrial and Commercial Electrical Installations for Classification and both digital and analog instrumentation signals. Knowledge of low, medium and high voltage and 24-volt applications of electrical and instrumentation as well as pneumatic valves and controllers.
Field Safety SpecialistFull-TimeLocated at the Sinclair Refinery. Under the direction of the safety manager, assists in ensuring that employee safety programs are developed and implemented and that the company is in compliance with federal, state, and local laws dealing with occupational safety and health stands; conducts training programs to instruct employees in the emergency equipment operation, emergency procedures, and safe work practices; maintains safety related records are required; works with various departments to approve and authorize high risk work through work permitting and inspects work for compliance with permit conditions and applicable procedures, standards and regulations. Requires a degree or equivalent refinery safety experience and preferably the Certified Safety Professional designation or equivalent (e.g. CIH). Is fully knowledgeable of advance concepts and practices in safety field. Ability to apply principle, theories, and concepts required of their discipline. Work independently and act as an integral member of the SWRC Safety Team.

Knowledge of hydraulic systems and proficiency with air systems for trucks and heavy equipment required. PSM Staff InspectorFull-Time4 Positions open at Sinclair Refinery. Position ranges from Entry Level to Senior Level based on experience and credentials. Coordinates the refinery’s inspection program for areas of the plant for on-stream data collection/analysis and turnaround planning and execution. Maintains a liaison with operations, maintenance, and engineering with respect to mechanical integrity for fixed equipment. Knowledge of computer based applications is essential. These positions report directly to the Inspection Supervisor/Manager.
PSM TechnicianFull-Time3 Positions open at Sinclair Refinery. Position supports the PSM group with the implementation of the MOC/PSSR process. Participate in unit PHA’s, Incident Investigations, assist with development of Operations and Maintenance procedures/manuals, coordinate audits of PSM related programs and procedures to ensure compliance with OSHA 1910.119. Work closely with Operations, Maintenance, Engineering, and Inspections to track and complete action items from PHA’s and compliance audits. Candidates shall possess strong verbal and written communication skills, abilities to interpret and apply regulations, analytical thinking skills, and a positive attitude. These positions report to the PSM Engineer.
Quality Assurance and Quality Control InvestigatorFull-TimeLocated at Sinclair Refinery in Rawlins, Wyoming. This position is responsible for evaluating completed work against established quality criteria set by the refinery organization to ensure that refinery standards are met. Position requires a High School diploma or GED, 6 years of experience with quality assurance and quality control methods and techniques in the oil and gas industry. Preference will be given to candidates with previous experience with oil refinery operations, planning, or maintenance.
Reliability EngineerFull-TimeThis position serves as a technical resource to other departments with regard to rotating equipment and will develop and monitor real-time data programs that prioritize and optimize maintenance resources and bring the refinery closer to a condition based maintenance program. Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering with three years of relevant industry experience. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Stay abreast of new technologies including condition based maintenance analysis techniques as well as new software and hardware to perform data analysis.
Small Maintenance Repair CoordinatorFull-TimeLocated at the Sinclair Refinery. This is an hourly position working in our small projects group, this position will be responsible for planning, ordering and execution of various turnaround and project-type work. The qualified applicant will have a high school diploma or general education development certificate (GED). Five years’ experience in related field or industry. Knowledge of Maximo, metallurgy, and piping and instrumentation drawings, and construction drawings. Must be willing to work nights, weekends and holidays, if required.
Training SupervisorFull-TimeThis position is responsible for the effective development, coordination and presentation of training and development programs for all Maintenance Department employees. Incumbent will assess plant-wide developmental needs to drive maintenance training initiatives. Certified Crane Operator / General MaintenanceFull-TimeCasper Refinery is seeking a certified crane operator (must provide crane certification) for a 75-ton and under mechanical or rough terrain boom crane.  Fabricate, install and repair piping, pressure vessels, heat exchangers, boilers and general refinery equipment.  Other duties may be assigned to meet business needs. Requirements: Familiarity with all aspects of pipe fitting, layout, thread cutting, fabrication & installation of screwed and flanged piping; Basic knowledge of various tools such as grinders, impacts, tube rolls, forklift, vacuum truck; Basic knowledge of working in confined space and high elevations with supplied breathing air; Work with other crafts in a team environment as well as perform necessary work duties with minimum supervision. Crane operation requirements: Cleans crane mechanisms including lubricating and maintaining mechanisms such as cables, pulleys, and grappling devices; Determines load weights including checking weights against lifting capacities; works to prevent equipment overload; Inspects crane equipment including structures or materials; identifies causes of errors and other problems or defects; Operates various types of cranes including running, maneuvering, navigating, and driving equipment; Uses hand and arm signals including installing, positioning, handling, and moving materials--also includes manipulating things with crane equipment. Hourly position-overtime may be required.   The company furnishes all tools.  We offer a competitive wage and benefit package.  Subject to on-call work 24 hours per day.
I&E TechnicianFull-TimeOpen Casper refinery. This hourly position will be responsible for providing support to the Maintenance department with emphasis on improving process reliability: These activities include but are not limited to the following: troubleshoot, repair, calibrate process flow, pressure, and level transmitters (pneumatic and electronic) in a safe manner; ability to troubleshoot and repair process control valves; willing to respond to work callout requests and overtime requests as needed; able to effectively communicate with operators to troubleshoot issues and effect repairs in a timely manner; proficiency in computer applications, including Word, Excel and data base program data entry; ability to read and understand manufacturers instruction manuals or use direct contact with a manufacturer to troubleshoot. Preferred skills and knowledge: 3-5 years of experience in the Instrumentation field, refinery experience is a plus; ability to install new process control loops; experience with Siemens DCS (APACS, PCS7) or Foxboro systems preferred.
